We have an 8y/o pt who came to us with 4 loose teeth because of a playground accident. We splinted these teeth to three adjacent stable teeth. We are going to bill his medical insurance CPT 21497.
The question I have is whether we should submit as 1 unit, 4 unit (4 loose teeth) or 7 unit (7 splinted teeth) in item 24 letter G of the medical form.
