We have a patient that was injured while on vacation and needs to go thru her medical insurance. I have not dealt with medical and am lost on the coding. Could you please provide what Diagnosis Code I should use? Also, what medical CPT/HCPCS codes match the following:
D9110, D0220, D0230, D6752, D6242, D3310, D2950, D2751, D2331. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!!

Hi Jodie,
Could you tell me a bit about what happened to the patient while on vacation. Did she fall? Fracture a tooth? etc.

Thanks

She was outside paying for parking. Her husband drove out and she was walking up to the car, and then the parking bar came down on her. She has damage to 5-unit bridge, (5) chipped teeth. We are waiting to see if pain settles down, otherwise patient might need RCT(s).

Hi guest!

Here are some ICD-10 diagnosis coding options for you below based on what you described:

K03.81 - Cracked tooth
S02.5XXA - Fracture of tooth (traumatic), initial encounter for closed fracture
W20.8XXA - Other cause of strike by thrown, projected or falling object, initial encounter

Hope this helps, have a great day!
