We are trying to find a ICD10 code for a D4277, the reason for this is recession on lower anterior teeth. Would there be a code to fit that?

Hi guest!

Yes we are happy to help.

D4277 = free soft tissue graft procedure (including donor site surgery), first tooth or edentulous tooth position in graft

Basically, the diagnosis code will depend on the patient's condition! For example, if the graft is being done due to bone atrophy, here are some ICD-10 diagnosis coding options below:

K08.21 - Minimal atrophy of the mandible
K08.22 - Moderate atrophy of the mandible
K08.23 - Severe atrophy of the mandible
K08.24 - Minimal atrophy of maxilla
K08.25 - Moderate atrophy of the maxilla
K08.26 - Severe atrophy of the maxilla

If it is being done for another reason, let me know what the patient's issue/condition is and I will help you locate some coding options.

Good Afternoon,

Would you be able to assist in pointing me in the right direction in looking for a diagnosis code for procedure D4277. I've tried to research and haven't been able to locate anything that quite makes any sense. Thank you in advance!
