Dental medical-grade implants are titanium-based metallic posts that are surgically placed in the jawbone to replace the root portion of a missing tooth. Then the crown is screwed in and looks exactly like a real tooth. The 10 CM codes for dental implants D6010, D4210, D77953, and more are as follows:
D6010- Endosteal implant surgical placement
21248-Endosteal implant, partial reconstruction
21249-endosteal implant, total reconstruction
D4267- a non-resorbable barrier for guided tissue regeneration, per site
41899- unlisted dentoalveolar procedure ** include a narrative report describing the procedure
D7953 bone replacement graft for ridge preservation- per site 21215 mandibular graft ** use modifier -52 for reduced services when the bone is not obtained from the patient.

Hi Guest!

As for diagnosis code(s) for zygomatic implants, it all depends on why the patient is receiving the services.

For example, if the reason is atrophy of the maxilla, you may consider:

K08.24 - Minimal atrophy of maxilla
K08.25 - Moderate atrophy of the maxilla
K08.26 - Severe atrophy of the maxilla

However, if there was an accident, a tumor removal, etc - there are separate codes for that.

Hope this helps!
