Hi Angie!

D6101 - debridement of a peri-implant defect or defects surrounding a single implant, and surface cleaning of the exposed implant surfaces, including flap entry and closure
coding options:
11010 - Debridement including removal of foreign material associated with open fractures and or dislocations; skin and subcutaneous tissues
11011 - Debridement including removal of foreign material associated with open fractures and or dislocations; skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscle fascia, and muscle
11012 - Debridement including removal of foreign material associated with open fractures and or dislocations; skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscle fascia, muscle, and bone

D6103 - bone graft for repair of peri-implant defect - does not include flap entry and closure
Can be crosscoded to:
21210 - Graft, bone; nasal, maxillary or malar areas (includes obtaining graft)
or
21215 - Graft, bone; mandible (includes obtaining graft)

D4265 - biologic materials to aid in soft and osseous tissue regeneration
Can be cross coded to:
99070 - Supplies and materials (except spectacles), provided by the physician or other qualified health care professional over and above those usually included with the office visit or other services rendered (list drugs, trays, supplies, or materials provided)

D4275 - non-autogenous connective tissue graft (including recipient site and donor material) first tooth, implant, or edentulous tooth position in graft
Can be cross coded to:
41870 - Periodontal mucosal grafting

D7921 – collection and application of autologous blood concentrate product

The code listed above does not have a direct crosscode we are aware of, so you can either bill the "D" code on the medical claim (many insurers these days will process "D" codes when they are medically necessary services), or you can try the CPT code below and include a narrative report describing the procedure:
41899 - Unlisted procedure, dentoalveolar structures

Hope this helps!

I have some implant related codes that I am looking for the medical counterpart too.

Code 6101- the debridement of peri-implantitis defect

6103- bone graft for peri-implantitis repair

4265- biologic material

7921- transseptal fiberotomy/supra crestal fiberotomy by report

4275- non-autogenous allograft 1st tooth (4285-each additional tooth)

Lastly, code 1354 for silver diamine fluoride, a cavity arrest medication, this is a new code that was given to our office. Is anyone familiar with this procedure and the billing of it?

Any advice or information is appreciated!

Thank you,

Angie
