This course gives you and your team the tools to become the go-to dental sleep medicine (DSM) practice in your area! Sessions taught by Dr. John Tucker, an ABDSM diplomate, who has successfully integrated DSM into his practice, cover identifying at-risk patients, oral appliances and treatment protocols. While you're learning the medical model for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a certified Nierman Practice Management instructor will train your staff about more effective medical insurance documentation and billing, as well as creating referral letters and progress reports.

Check out some highlights of the "Successful Implementation of Dental Sleep Medicine" Conference:
  • How oral appliance therapy can successfully treat OSA

  • Screening for OSA (you'll even have the opportunity to perform a home sleep study on yourself!

  • The differences between oral appliances and which appliance best suits each patient (practice creating oral appliance impressions on your team members)

  • The treatment protocol – from the first phone call to yearly follow-up visits – and integrating the workflow into your practice

  • Automated treatment documentation and how to successfully bill medical insurance (prepares you for insurance audits)

  • How to cultivate a strong physician referral network and promote your services to your patients and the public
