Good Morning,
Patient visit for follow up/postop 2 weeks for flap debridement UR, healing well. What ICD-10 codes are used for this encounter? Can you explain.
Visit using these CDC D codes.

Hi Vonda!

The ICD (diagnosis) codes you would use for a follow up visit will likely be the same one you used for the initial encounter/treatment date for the patient. There are some ICD codes that have slightly changes to them to indicate initial encounter, subsequent encounter, and sequela, but not all of them.

What ICD codes did you use for the initial encounter/treatment date?
