Can we bill dental procedures such as crowns if the pt has been on chemo?

Hi Guest!

Many medical insurers will offer coverage for services needed prior to chemo, but many will not cover services needed as a result of chemo and deem them dental in nature. However, there is some variance in that - it depends on the insurer & patient policy, so it definitely would not hurt to do a benefit verification to see if there may be some coverage available.

Hope this helps!
