Hi! We are a specialty implant center located in West Michigan, and I am curious to find out the regional fees (if there are any) to charge to medical insurance companies per specific medical codes. Can someone point me in the right direction? We are at an absolute loss of what to charge. Thanks!

Hi jmonroe!

Absolutely! Many of our clients use a great resource called fair health consumer, here is a link to the site:

https://www.fairhealthconsumer.org/

Under the "medical costs" option, you can enter your zip code, then the CPT code you are looking for costs on (i.e. 21248 & 21249 for implants, 21210 & 2125 for bone grafts, etc) and you will see the average billed fees for out of network, as well as average in network fees for that service for your specific zip code!

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your reply!

Is there any way to bypass the amount of codes I am limited to looking up?

I received an error code that states I have exceeded what I can look up and can not do anymore research until December 2nd. Booo :(:(

Hi Jayme!

Haha i know the feeling! There is not a way to bypass the limit (other than paying for a commercial subscription) that I am aware of. If you would like to e-mail me at contactus@dentalwriter.com, I am happy to help with fee ranges based on what we know from our clients :)
