Hi Guest!

Have you considered using the medical CPT codes for anesthesia/deep sedation instead of the dental CDT codes? I'm wondering if the use of the "D" codes may be the culprit of these denials:

00170 - Anesthesia for intraoral procedures, including biopsy; not otherwise specified
00172 - Anesthesia for intraoral procedures, including biopsy; repair of cleft palate
00174 - Anesthesia for intraoral procedures, including biopsy; excision of retropharyngeal tumor
00176 - Anesthesia for intraoral procedures, including biopsy; radical surgery

Hi I am looking and have been looking for a great narrative for D9222 / D9223 Deep Sedation. All my claims that have this are being denied. We are an Oral / Maxillofacila office and this is what we do. Can ANYBODY help me please? Thank you and Happy Holidays
