D7280 - surgical access of an unerupted tooth

The code listed above does not have a direct crosscode we are aware of, so you can either bill the "D" code on the medical claim (many insurers these days will process "D" codes when they are medically necessary services), or you can use the CPT codes below and include a narrative report describing the procedure:
41899 - Unlisted procedure, dentoalveolar structures


As for the documentation to send along - your provider's clinical notes from the visit, and perhaps a copy of an x-ray taken if applicable should do the trick!

I am trying to convert D7280 into a medical code due to the dental insurance doesn't cover this code? Any suggestion and what documentation do I need to send with claim 1500
