Yes absolutely CBCT scans can be submitted to medical insurance! They typically do require a pre-authorization.

Hi there I had a question I manage an endodontic office and my specialist recently purchased CBCT scan he informed me he needs it for Retreats to see if the tooth is fractured I notice a lot of insurances would not cover them can I bill to medical? Or how can i go around this my patient do no wan to pay out of pocket for this
