Hello,

In a previous post there is an indication that we should use 70486 as the cpt code for cone beam scans. There is also a general radiological exam of the teeth code 70320, can this code be utilized in place of the Cpt code 70486 since a more appropriate code does not exist?
Also is it appropriate to bill code 70320 in conjunction with code 76376 3D rendering?

Is ACR accreditation required for billing code 70486 or code 70320 to commercial carriers like UHC, Aetna, BCSB and Cigna? Would a report written by the DMD or DDS fall within the scope of their license and meet the documentation requirements needed for ACR accreditation?
